Already last year the "Festival of Sacred Music" successfully took place and will be continued in the year 2002.

Festival of Sacred Music
3. – 16. of December 2002

Following on from last year’s enormous success, the House of World Cultures is planning another Festival of Sacred Music for December 2002. The most diverse sacred music traditions encounter one another here - beyond all dogmatic and denominational boundaries – at the time of three great religions festivals: the Christian Advent, the Jewish Hanukka Festival and the Islamic Ramadan. The religious search for spiritual experiences and for experiences forming identity opens the door to the vision of a common dialogue. The highlights of the Festival of Sacred Music 2002 will be the invitation of a Japanese priest ensemble from the Todaiji Temple in Nara , as well as concerts Tibetan monks living in exile in South India.
