Bubu de la Madelein, Akira the Hustler and S&M Queen Noriko are associates of the cult group Dumb Type and sex workers in Kyoto. They formed the group The Biters in the Metro Club, and their provocative performances, videos, photographs, essays, and club events are aimed at educating their audiences about sex and AIDS. In Berlin, they will be collaborating with the computer musician Toru Yamanaka and with a group of drag queens. Their themes are love, death, and sexuality, globalization and terrorism.
