Vincent Mantsoe in Motswa Hole (person from far away)
As the son of a sangoma (an initiated priestess), Vincent Mantsoe is well-versed in the spiritual aspects of the Zulu culture. In his performances, he translates this traditional knowledge into a contemporary dance language. The precision of his movements combines with the spiritual themes of his ancestors to create a unique form of performance art. Along with Koffi Koko, Vincent Mantsoe is one of Africa’s most prominent solo dancers.
