| Daniel W. Best | is the communications man of the Sonarkollektivs, a loose formation of Berlin artists, labels and DJs. In contrast to many monotheistic DJs, Bests Sets are like a creed of diversity: downtempo, soul, future jazz, boogie and souldub. Ras | a.k.a Robert Galic was one of the pioneers of German hiphop culture. His interest in Black music took him to Berlin, where he met the Sonarkollektiv, headed by Daniel W. Best. The sound of his new album "Rythmic Altered State" is heavy on musical experiments and continental leaps: groovy, border-crossing and original.
