Carl Bourelly alias C. Brotha (New York)
extended HipHop, Funk und Jazz rhythms to include musical influences from Harlem: Senegalese community;
Torch (Heidelberg), inventor of German Freestyle Rap and guests

In the 1990s, keyboarder and programmer Carl Bourelly alias C. Brotha was house producer with Rap and R'n'B label jive Records as well as Def Jam records in New York City. With his sample tracks in various jazz projects and Boom Bop II, he has applied his fine feeling for abstractions to combining a rich variety of rhythmic patterns.
The resulting transatlantic grooves form the platform on which the various special guests will be coming together: rappers and musicians in search of the Afro-American utopia and its influence on both Afro-German realities and emerging forms of expression. His guests include Torch (alias Frederik Hahn), whom Wolf Biermann "admired as a young German poet".
