The art critic Jörg Heiser guides through the exhibition "Black Atlantic". Born in Rheydt/North Rhine-Westfalia in 1968, he is co-editor of the British art magazine "frieze". He also writes for the "Züricher Tageszeitung", "taz", "Süddeutsche Zeitung", "Spex", "Texte zur Kunst", "springerin", and other publications. Current publications: "Contextualize!" (Kunstverein in Hamburg, Dumont 2003); "Richard Artschwager" (Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther König 2002) and "Painting at the Edge of the World" (Walker Art Center, Minneapolis 2001).
He is working on a dissertation on changes of context between art and pop music. He lives in Berlin.
