With her complex video space "Hamletmachine" Nalini Malani offers a powerful metaphor for the violent religious conflicts that rocked Mumbai/Bombay in January 1993. And Navjot Altaf's video installation "Lacuna in Testimony" focuses on the pogrom-like riots of Hindu mobs last year in the province of Gujarat.
