In Hindu mythology Radha is Krishnas lover, often driven to the point of despair by his philandering. This tour focuses on the depiction of women in the conflicted sphere between mythological exaggeration and lascivious eroticization, a sphere that often makes for blurry boundaries in popular art. The guide, Susanne Gupta, a journalist of German-Indian descent, is especially interested in the construction of identity in the friction between modern and (often more marginalized) traditional ways of life.
