Last year's IN TRANSIT Festival was not the only stop for Junko Wadas project "Process Vol. 2 - Reflection Punkt und Linie - Berlin" as she went on to perform at various private and public art venues, and in museums and documentations. At IN TRANSIT 04, Junko Wada is now presenting a print documentation of her work in book form, with photos for this House of World Cultures publication provided by Berlin-based African photographer Akinbode Akinbiyi, well known through his long-term project on mega-cities and Berlin photographer Gerhard Kassner, whose focal point is theatre-, art- and portrait photography. "To me the movement of writing resembles that of a dance performance. The stroke of the brush and the act of taking in breath are closely connected. In this way the act of writing becomes a stylised dance. My dance originally came from my painting and now it has become transformed into my writings." (Junko Wada) A video installation of "Process Vol. 2 - Reflection Punkt und Linie - Berlin" has also been created for eleven screens and will be shown in the House of World Cultures during IN TRANSIT.
