Lágbájá a Yoruba word meaning somebody, nobody, anybody, everybody signifies anonymity and facelessness, but also resistance and the fear of political terror. As a symbol of this, the band leader and saxophonist is never seen without a mask. Lágbájá is a cult figure in Africa. His music is political culture at the highest artistic level, an amalgamation of Jazz, Highlife, traditional Yoruba music and African pop. The 12 musicians give one of the best shows on the current music scene.
