Tehran: two youths spent their time chain-smoking and shoplifting. They meet Aida, a flirtatious female student who loves music. This film is about an attempt to break out of social constraints. “Deep Breath” was a great success at the Quinzaine des Realisateurs in Cannes in 2003, and at the London Film Festival.
Well-known directors from Iran will be attending the House of World Cultures at the opening weekend of the film programme: Bahman Farmanara, Parviz Shahbazi, Hana and Maysam Makhmalbaf.
