This year's meeting of ADLAF, the German-Latin American research working group, examines current developments in Mexico. This conference was designed as a forum for international participants to provide an academic counterpart to MEXartes-berlin.de. The changes in Mexico are strongly influenced by plurality, the transformation of existing structures within the context of globalisation and decentralisation in society. The diversity within modernity, here culturally defined as the prevailing future-orientated mentality in any given era, comprises a wide range of players and areas that are to be discussed during this ADLAF conference. The working language is Spanish. Introductory and concluding panel with simultaneous interpreting. Wed 13.11.02, 15.OO INTRODUCTORY PANEL
