Inspired by the poetry of Oscar Oliva, the Mexican choreographer Cecilia Lugo has created a great evening of lyrical theatre, an unusually poetic examination of the Chiapas region: Chiapas provokes dance and makes the poets words explode. Its poetry is suffused with an Eros which paints the bodies of the jungle and covers them with the aroma of mothers milk. Women wander toward resurrection between ferns and oblivion, men full of baffled hope lick their wounds like lynxes.
