The Hip-Hop culture in Portugal would certainly have taken another direction without the existence of this band. Founded in 1993 by Rapper Pacman, Da Weasel began as a classic, English speaking rap act with turntables and microphones. 10 years later, they are not only one of the most successful Portuguese bands (they have a number of gold records to prove that), but also one of the most innovative groups in their home country, combining Hip-Hop with rock, soul and Brazilian grooves.
