| “Sola Soft” features a more intimate arrangement for vocalist and piano. Liu Sola has kept up a long artistic partnership with the African American pianist Amina C. Myers. Meyers collaborated on Sola’s very first CD, “Blues of the East”. The Pipa virtuoso Yang Jing will perform a solo composition by Liu Sola, which Amina C. Myers and Liu Sola will then take as a basis for improvisations. The aim is a holistic approach toward music which rises above categories and styles, focussed solely on the encounter between artists, traditions and instruments. The performers
