Invitation to the press conference and preview of the exhibition ABOUT BEAUTY |

How important is beauty for art today? How do different cultures define this concept? What is the relationship between beauty, ethics and science? The House of World Cultures will be examining these and other questions at its festival ABOUT BEAUTY from 18 March to 15 May. We will be presenting a large exhibition of contemporary art, dance performances, interdisciplinary projects related to beauty, a conference, a youth programme and an interactive Internet project.
We cordially invite you to the Press Conference on Thursday, 17th March 2005 at 10 p.m. at the The House of World Cultures. Wu Hung (exhibition curator), Ackbar Abbas (responsible for the conference programme), Johannes Odenthal (curator for the performing arts), Hans-Georg Knopp (HKW Director) and Johannes Dicke (programme planner for our co-operation partner 3sat) will present our project ABOUT BEAUTY. Afterwards, Wu Hung will show you round the exhibition.
