Six dancers from Benin and three musicians accompany Koffi Kôkô in his latest choreography. The work addresses the spiritual context of West Africa. In a modern and poetic body language the moment of initiation and change is conveyed. The body liberates itself in its expression and through metamorphosis its essence is discovered. "Ntu is the creative force, Ahse the vital force. Whoever draws sustenance from the one and the other perceives the radiance that the leaves need to unfold..." Koffi Kôkô, who lives both in Paris and Benin, is well-known in Europe and in Africa as a choreographer and dancer, and in Africa also as spiritual medium. His works have been performed at festivals throughout the world.
