4:00 p.m.: The Utilization of Cultural Heritage – the Zócalo in Mexico City Lecture by Ana Rosas Mantecón | The social anthropologist thematizes the utilization and misuse of public spaces such as the Zócalo, the largest square in Mexico City: a place for protest movements, neo-Mexican rituals, demonstrations of political authority, a meeting place for residents and visitors to the city.

6:00 p.m.: Music and the City Lecture by Jordi Soler I The writer, radio presenter and chronicler of Mexico’s rock scene discusses the role of the media, in particular radio, in disseminating notions about the city.
