In the Year of the Tiger: Korea
The program "In the Year of the Tiger: Korea" in 1998 presented a country which had hitherto been virtually unknown in Germany. Exhibits on contemporary art, fashion, calligraphy, contemporary directors, choreographers and composers were shown. On the following pages you will find a variety of background texts on the development of contemporary art, key themes such as shamanism and religion or tradition and modernization in Korea. In addition, the artists represented in the exhibit are documented with works and biographies.
